Food and Farming question from Stephen Tweedie, Newent Town Council

At the Future of Local Food and Farming debate that took place at Newent Community School on 3 April 2009, the following question was put to the panel on behalf of Stephen Tweedie, who was not at the meeting:

Does the panel believe that the aim of increasing local self-reliance, as advocated by the transition movement, is compatible with free market economics and our current systems of local, regional and national government?
