Food and Farming question from Pat Tuson, allotments group

At the Future of Local Food and Farming debate that took place at Newent Community School on 3 April 2009, Pat Tuson put the following question to the panel:

Can local landowners help communities seeking allotment land, by leasing small areas of land to parishes or allotment groups? What might be the obstacles to this, and how can we work together to overcome them?
