Transition Newent invites you to join us for an evening with Rob Hopkins and Shaun Chamberlin on Wednesday 29th April, 7.for 7.30pm at Newent Community School.


PEOPLE MAKE TRANSITION HAPPEN - Rob will provide guidance, energy, encouragement and motivation to our Transitioners.  Sharing his experience to help local groups move forward in facing issues and developing local Energy Descent Plans. Rob Hopkins is the originator of the Transition concepts and co-founder of Transition Network. He is a founder member of Transition Town Totnes and publishes www.transitionculture.org.  He is author of  the ‘Transition Handbook’. 


'THE TRANSITION TIMELINE' for a local resilient future - Shaun’s new book forms the focus for this presentation. It lightens the fear of our uncertain future, provides a map of what we are facing and the different pathways available to us. He will give us a detailed and accessible update on climate change and peak oil and the interactions between them. Shaun Chamberlin has devoted himself to exploring the challenges facing our global community.  He has his own website, www.darkoptimism.org, and helped form Transition Town Kingston in 2007.


Admission £4 (£3 concessions)
