Is this potato event still anything to do with Gloucestershire Organic Group? I've attended in previous years when GOG organized it and it's been excellent - well worth going.
I found it very useful to be able to buy individual seed potatoes. Last year they were 15p each, enabling me to grow smallish quantities of several varieties.
